Unboxing the Oppo Find X6 Pro
The Oppo Find X6 Pro comes in a predominantly black box. The front of the box features the "Oppo Find X6 Pro" brand name in orange.
There is also "Oppo | Hasselblad" information on the front, indicating that this flagship phone is a result of Oppo's collaboration with Hasselblad, a premium camera manufacturer from Sweden.
The box also contains the key specifications of the phone, written in Chinese. When opened, the box contains the flagship phone itself, a 100-watt charger adapter, a USB Type-C cable, a matching color hard case for the back of the phone, a SIM card ejector tool, a user guide, and a warranty card.
Leather-Backed Design, Comfortable to Hold
One of the most striking aspects of the Oppo Find X6 Pro is its back design. The phone now features vegan leather material on almost 3/4 of its back.
The leather material gives the phone a matte finish, making it resistant to fingerprint smudges and avoiding a mirror-like effect. In our experience, the use of leather material also provides a better grip and ensures that the phone can be held securely. However, users can use the included hard case for additional protection. The hard case matches the design of the Oppo Find X6 Pro's back and is included in the purchase.
On paper, the Oppo Find X6 Pro has dimensions of 164.8 mm in length, 76.2 mm in width, and 9.1 mm in thickness. With these dimensions, the phone fits comfortably in the hand and can be operated with one hand.
However, with a screen size of 6.82 inches, operating the phone with one hand can be less comfortable. The right thumb may not reach the applications in the far left corner of the phone.
Large and Prominent
In addition to the leather back, the rear camera module of the Oppo Find X6 Pro is also very prominent. The module has a large circular shape and protrudes significantly when placed on a flat surface.
This camera module houses three rear cameras: a 50 MP main camera (f/1.8), a 50 MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2), and a 50 MP telephoto camera (f/2.6) with 3x optical zoom, 6x hybrid zoom, and digital zoom up to 120x. There is also a 32 MP selfie camera (f/2.4). The phone's camera features are supported by lenses and technology from the renowned camera company Hasselblad, as well as the smart chip (NPU) MariSilicon X, to enhance the quality of photos and videos.
With these camera specifications, the Oppo Find X6 Pro has been named the best camera phone according to DxOMark, a website that conducts camera phone tests. The Oppo Find X6 Pro received the title of the best camera phone in April 2023.
The three rear cameras of the Oppo Find X6 Pro can capture objects well, with sharpness and detail. In well-lit conditions, such as during the day, the 50 MP main camera in normal mode can capture colors and object details clearly. The results are bright and clear, as seen in the sample image.
The phone's camera can also capture good and detailed photos in low-light conditions. For photos with distant objects, users can rely on the 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, 6x hybrid zoom, and digital zoom up to 120x. During testing, this feature produced good photos, especially when zoomed up to 30x. Beyond 30x digital zoom, the resulting photos appear increasingly blurry.
What's interesting is that the Oppo Find X6 Pro now also features a teleportrait camera with zoom options of 1x, 2x, and 3x. This allows users to capture portrait photos with a bokeh background and zoom up to 3x. The photos taken in teleportrait mode are also of high quality, sharp, and detailed.
