Instafest itself is a third-party service that can design concert-style posters based on your favorite artists. To be able to access your playlist, you need to give permission first.
The Instafest feature itself was created by a student at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, named Anshay Saboo. You can now enjoy Saboo's work for free with three easy steps.
1. Open Instafest. app
First, you need to open this third-party tool at instafest.app. This tutorial accesses the site via a desktop, but you can also create it using a cellphone or other device.
If so, you can click the green button on the screen that says 'Sign in with Spotify'. This button will direct you to your Spotify account access window.
2. Sign in and Allow Access
The next step is to sign in using your Spotify account. Enter the email address and password that are commonly used to access Spotify. If you have previously accessed Spotify via a browser, you can usually log in automatically.
If you are already logged in, then you will be directed to the access permission window as shown in the image above. In essence, Instafest requests access to read your activity on Spotify which is needed to create a poster. Click 'Agree' to continue.
3. Customize Your Poster Style!
As soon as you click 'Agree' in the previous step, Instafest will immediately detect your playlist and display the results. So, those featured on the poster are the artists with the songs you've played the most lately.
You can also adjust the style of the poster in the 'Customize' section. Select 'Last 4 weeks' to see fewer and more specific results. Meanwhile, if you want to see your favorite artists all the time, just select 'All-time'.
There are also design options for your poster. Malibu Sunrise features beachy blues and oranges, while LA Twilight has an urban purple backdrop. There is also a Mojave Dusk with a desert theme design.
Next, you can customize the 'concert title'. By template it would be 'username -fest'. However, there is an option 'hide my username' to change the appearance of the concert name.
4. Save the Poster, Then Share
Unfortunately, there is no automatic share button to share the poster on social media. However, calm there is a download option.
You can download images and then share your playlist-style posters on various social media. This option is also a distinct advantage because you don't have to bother logging in repeatedly just to share posters. It's easy, right?
